Ruffle Scarf

I had this really great angora and ribbon- part of an Anny Blatt scarf kit. I didn't like the instructions that came with the kit so I decided to try a ruffle pattern. There wasn't enough yarn so I added bits and pieces from my stash.

Leaf Necklace

I have so many beads and ideas for jewelry- yesterday I actually got busy and made this necklace. I have several more in the works. Finding small images to insert in the mini-frames is really fun.

Almost done

I started this sweater ages ago. The lace is holding me up. I have finished the portion that goes around the sleeves but am still working on the part that goes around the neck, down the front, and around back. Hopefully I'll replace these photos with a completed project soon.

Newly knitted vest- back and front. I charted out a design that didn't work. This is attempt number two at making up a design and as you can tell I got tired and switched to stripes (much easier).

After buying fabulous fabric to make a duvet cover- I decided that I needed new pillows for the bed. The damask was so subdued I wanted to make my design for the pillows more graphic but still organic. I used various silks and left over fabric from the curtains I had made.

Flower Vines

A few years ago I made this pillow for our living room. There were vines that had grown over the windows- I think that influenced this design.

Wedding Dress

I was very nervous doing this one! I drew the design on the lining of the dress so I could make sure everything would be symmetrical.

When I finished college and no longer had a darkroom or space to make stained glass pieces I began to work with textiles. I designed, embroidered, appliqued, and beaded boxes full of squares. The squares eventually turned into purses and pillows.

Lake Rug

Several years ago I hooked this rug for my parents- or one that is very similar. They had just retired and moved to Smith Mountain Lake. Philip and I got married at the lake so I ended up hooking one for us too.

Green Baby Sweater

I have made what seems like thousands of baby sweaters. They are fun to do because you can try out new things on a small scale. This is the first one I tried and when I was finished it looked too plain and boring. I thought embroidery would add some excitement.

Bunny Slippers

One can never have too many rabbits, or rabbit related items. These little bunny slippers were knitted then felted. I made two pairs and couldn't part with either.

Flower Rug

I designed this rug in March. After several months of hooking- and reworking the design in order to use up my stash- it is done and in use!

Birds
